A: This is to assure the quality of pages. Site members have demonstrated the ability to write thoughtfully about issues of relevance to policy in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area.
Q: I'd like to contribute pages, but nobody knows me, so I can't be invited.
A: You have the ability to post proposed pages to the forum category Proposed Wiki Pages category in the forum. If your pages are accepted, you will be invited. Please note that your proposed pages are subject to editing before acceptance.
Q: Why do I have to be a Wikidot member to participate in page discussions and the forum?
A: This is to prevent spam and other violations of the acceptable use policy. On the positive side, you can create a good reputation through your participation in them.

Q: What is the editorial policy?
A: The page discussions and forum are meant to be free-wheeling, subject to the acceptable use policy. Unlike Wikipedia, controversy is welcome in both the pages and discussions. As the debates produce information, it is intended for the information to be included in the wiki pages.

A: You'll find the information in the forum category "Help and Hints".
Q: Why I am seeing Google ads?
A: This is a free wiki hosted by wikidot.com. Wikidot.com uses ad revenue to provide this service. Please feel free to click on ads of interest. As creator of this wiki, I get a 20% cut. As of this writing (January 25, 2009), I have earned a grand total of 5 cents from all my channels, mostly from my Google-hosted blog.
